Sensors are more and more pervasive in our everyday life. Position, speed, heart rate, temperature and so on, we are now able to collect a wide range of data with the more diverse parameters. What happens if we use them to monitor our (or someone else’s) subjective experience of the city and eventually to communicate it to others? “Data Talks / Data Walks” is a hybrid exercise combining journalism, data visualization and coding. You will choose a story (from a broader topic idea), collect quantitative or semi-quantitative data, and then visualize it in the form of a data story. To accomplish this task yiu will learn the fundamentals of data collection on field, interviews making and how to use a dedicated template to visualize your story.
