Rock: Mold, plaster and slip cast

Volume modification
I started from a clay cube, breaking it apart and putting it together and see what is interesting. At some point I came up with a system of cutting into 3 equal pieces and assembling a building block. Then, I only had to decide what shape I will make from all the building blocks.

Next, came the really hard part - making it out of plaster.
I went to the workshop and with the help of Yannick, created two wood molds with precise angles and measurements.

Then came a long process of pouring plaster into the molds, and putting them together.
When trying to put everything together, the plaster pieces kept breaking over and over, requiring constant mending and gluing.
