The project started with the book „Healing the shame that binds you“ by an American educator, counselor and motivational speaker John Bradshaw. This was another huge ‘aha’ moment for me, when I discovered that I had been bound by shame all my life. After reading this book, I really felt relieved as a lot of things fall into place. The сhallenge was defined one week later, as I started using the old shame-based behavioral patterns. Struggling to remember and implement study material is a common problem faced by people all over the world. That is how I defined the purpose of this project: I want to visually summarize the content in a way, that helps process and retain the information.

Visual Thinking

Visual thinking is a powerful skill that taps into our deepest biological capability for understanding – combines verbal and visual processing powers of our brain. In simple terms: it simplifies complex concepts and processes through the use of images.

Brief Summary

I started with the brief summary of the book, and it was the most energy-intensive and time-consuming part of the project.

Note-taking skills

At the same time I was learning how to take visual notes by watching different courses or ted-talks. I had noticed, that writing by hand is really leading to stronger reading ability, new idea generation and the retention of information. And it is a lot of fun, too :)

Final Booklet *work is still in progress*

The format is designed printer-friendly, so you can print it, cut it and use as notes. You can also personalise by colouring it.

Thanks!!!
